Willow Lake County Park

Willow Lake is located in the Cascades in the shadow of Mt. McLoughlin, and offers camping, cabins and boating. Students from nearby Butte Falls High School build sail boats in their shop class and rent them to the public along with pedal boats, kayaks and canoes. The students are currently building an ADA-accessible fishing dock with money from the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. They are also constructing ADA-accessible yurts. The students manage the general store at the old lodge, and are rebuilding the kitchen and building a new 50′x50′ performance deck overlooking the lake. Students from six high schools take turns providing dinner theatre on weekend evenings, preparing and serving meals and performing in a variety-type show. Summer events include The Grand Pedal Boat Race (open to all ages), The He-Man competition and a regatta.

  • Seasonal access, April to November
