Willamette Mountain Mercantile

Willamette Mountain Mercantile is a unique cultural experience catering specifically to the outdoor enthusiasts of the Central Cascades.  It’s a mercantile for the outdoors person, situated in a historic filling station and repair shop that serviced logging trucks during the timber era.  The mercantile is staffed by local residents who are knowledgeable about many of the natural areas and recreational opportunities near Oakridge.  WMM stocks cast-iron skillets, leather boots, Carhartt clothing, leather Danner boots made in Portland, skis, bikes and all types of outdoor accessories.  WMM is also an educational center; staffed by people who care about the area, and volunteer their time on the trails and in local events; it’s a valuable resource.  Anyone traveling to the Cascade region would find a trip to the Mercantile enjoyable.

Locals love the Willamette Mountain Mercantile for its philosophy: community first.  The Mercantile has always put treating people right ahead of all else.  They treat everyone through the door with respect, helping them to find the best the area has to offer. As the area’s only bike shop they have helped to provide many of the area youth with affordable or free bicycles, and are always loaning out tools to those in need.  And everyone loves the little black dog, Buddy, who is there to greet you at the door when the owner is in.
