The Sisters Country

The Sisters Country offers a unique “step back in time” for visitors and locals.  This western-themed town is the hub for eco-opportunities in the Central Cascades, with activities such as rafting, hiking, biking, fishing, camping, rock-climbing, horseback-riding and more.  The Sisters Country is made up of friendly communities that are different than the rest. It boasts beautiful mountains, pristine rivers and outdoor experiences for all levels. Sisters Country citizens are dedicated to offering an authentic visitor experience.  With communities like Camp Sherman and Sisters working together for the betterment of the region, The Sisters Country offers an experience where the visitor can truly feel like a local.

The people who make up The Sisters Country are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the community culture.  Celebrations of American culture occur throughout the year, from the largest outdoor quilt show in the world, The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, to the nationally recognized Sisters Folk Festival.  Community members work together to preserve the landscape The Sisters Country is so proud of, with community stewardship projects and educational activities.  Most recently a community group has developed the Sisters Community Trails, a project that connects all outlying housing developments to the downtown core and schools.  The Sisters Country citizens believe in the “first do no harm” maxim and are dedicated to leaving the community and its resources in better shape for future generations.
