Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness

The Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness is a major forest protected by Wilderness status within 40 miles of a major metropolitan area -Portland.  It has many of the most beautiful scenic trails in the Cascades, meandering along the Salmon River(Salmon River Trail) and offering breathtaking views of Mt. Hood (Salmon Butte Trail).  Old-growth cedar and firs abound along this designated Wild & Scenic River. It is truly a magical place in a Northwest rainforest.
