Proxy Falls

At Proxy Falls, you can see three different types of terrain in one hike. The trail meanders through old volcanic flow, chaparral and, at lower elevations, temperate rain forest. The trail is blocked in a few places by fallen trees/logs that are circumnavigated by impromptu trails left by the tenacious residents of the area. It’s a bit of a hidden gem. The falls cascade like liquid lace over a series of rocky outcroppings as the water drops to the rocky creek bed below. It’s quiet, peaceful and absolutely primal and beautiful. Find Proxy Falls on the McKenzie Pass Scenic Highway between Sisters and McKenzie Bridge.
