Pinnacles

The Pinnacles formations evoke visions of the powerful forces of nature at work over millenia. Stream erosion over thousands of years carved deep canyons in the earth on the slopes south and east of Crater Lake, wtihin what today is Crater Lake National Park. Columns of ash and pumice rise hundreds of feet from the creek below. A hiking trail along the canyon wall provides many inspiring views.
