Osprey Point

  • .5 mile south of Detroit, Detroit, OR 97342

Osprey Point is a great place to watch all kinds of wildlife. Spring and summers are the best times to see birds of many kinds. You can see osprey and eagles circling overhead and diving for fish, and there are also duck and geese populations nearby. The U.S. Forest Service has plans in the future to build an observation deck at the point. This area is a fragile site that provides educational possibilities as well as some recreational activities, including swimming, picnicking, hiking, fishing and bird-viewing.
