Oak Creek Wildlife Area

Come in the winter months and see up to 1,200 elk feed on hay provided by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Currently there are about 3,000 elk being fed. Every day there is a truck that goes out with the elk to feed, and the public is welcome to ride along.

The visitor center is open with educational displays and information about the wildlife in the area. The nearby Tieton River is a favorite birding location for eagles.

  • Elk feeding annually December through March
