McKenzie River Inn

Besides being the oldest bed and breakfast on the McKenzie River, with a historic location where invasive plants and trees have been replaced with native ones, this is the only resort on the McKenzie that hosts special events focused on the first Americans, from a traditional fish bake/river blessing to an environmental law conference from the angle of indigenous people.

With the removal of invasive species and the replant of native ones, the McKenzie River Inn has a very natural and less manicured landscape, with riparian zones lined with fallen giants providing fish habitat to promote more effective environmental protection and incredible bird-watching. The inn organizes on-site eco-tourism trips and provides  “learn and teach” programs in cooperation with local organizations as the Native Forest Council and Outdoor Ventures, offering customized content packages.
