McCredie is a totally natural hot spring that bubbles up from the earth in numerous spots on both sides of the Willamette River, forming a variety of pools of various size and heat intensity. These pools areĀ an easy, short walk from your car. The fact that they are literally right next to the river makes them attactive for many reasons. If you get too hot, the river is right there to cool off in. And with very little effort, you can adjust the temperature of some of the pools by simply moving a few river rocks to allow more or less cold water from the river into the pool. As you leave Oakridge, watch for the sign on the left that says Blue Pool; the parking area for the hot springs is just a few hundred feet past that on the right.
