Mayerdale

Mayerdale, established in 1910, lies on the banks of the Columbia River 70 miles east of Portland. At the top of this gently sloping and verdant land, accessible from the Historic Columbia River Highway, sits an impressive neo-colonial estate and former home of Mark Mayer, son of a prominent Oregon pioneer. This historic home, filled with the grandeur and ghosts of a bygone era, is a testament to an epoch and to this man’s vision.  Mayerdale’s vistas are breathtaking from any vantage point. The Mayerdale Estate was in near ruin just 10 years ago.  Through much thought and effort, the structures are now secured and nearly restored. Today this property boasts 335 acres of exquisite working orchard, vineyards and a winery, but its history is evident.
