Imperial River Company

Imperial River Company is the only place to dine and stay on the banks of the Deschutes River in Maupin.  When you walk into the lodge, which takes its name from Imperial Stock Ranch, a working ranch that has been in continuous operation since 1871, you immediately feel connected with the history and surrounding area.  Local artisans’ crafts, along with ranch artifacts and photos, are on display in the lobby, and if you want to learn more about the family ranch, ranch tours are available. Whether you’re just stopping by for a riverfront meal from a menu inspired by the high desert or staying the night in one of their Oregon themed rooms, this will become an important part of your visit to the Deschutes River Canyon.  From here, the options for enjoying the area are endless… rafting, kayaking, fishing, relaxing, cycling, hiking, bird watching, and more.
