Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens

Set in the gardens of a 19th century farmhouse, this festival is dedicated to the fragrant lilacs of the area. Each year, thousands of visitors step back in time to discover the 1880’s Victorian farmhouse, country garden and gorgeous lilacs that comprise the estate.

The woodshed, water tower, windmill and gardens have all been restored by the Hulda Klager Lilac Society, a nonprofit organization with approximately 95 percent of its work force derived from volunteers. This restoration project shows the determination of a community to keep the public educated on important historic landmarks.
