Goodpasture Covered Bridge

The Goodpasture Covered Bridge is a focal point in the McKenzie River Valley.  It is one of the most photographed bridges in the state of Oregon and it spans one of the cleanest rivers in the country. This bridge has been maintained for use since it was built in 1938.  Though originally built to allow local families and loggers to cross the McKenzie River, it has become cherished by locals and travelers alike for its architecture (including louvered windows), its unique placement (gorgeous views on both sides) and its accessibility. The local garden club decorates the bridge with lights and wreaths during the holiday season.  They have a lighting ceremony on the first Sunday in December at 5 p.m. that is open to everyone.
