Fern Ridge Wildlife Area

Fern Ridge Wildlife Area is an excellent area to view wintering waterfowl. Along with ducks you’re likely to spot great blue herons, great egrets, yellow-headed blackbirds, black terns and red-shouldered hawks. Nesting osprey are viewed often in spring and summer.

Fern Ridge Wildlife Area holds wetlands, grasslands and oak woodlands that are being preserved and enhanced in the
southern Willamette Valley through sound stewardship measures to support waterfowl and a diverse array of plant and animal species, for use and enjoyment by present and future generations.
