Estacada Arts Scene

Estacada’s history as a rough-and-tumble timber town is both celebrated and overcome by a vibrant and diverse artistic community. Estacada’s artistic community has expanded from one “Mural-in-a-Day” to annual mural paintings (12 and counting), a fine arts cooperative gallery, an annual arts and music festival (fourth weekend in July), and three “music crawls” each year, presenting local talent in city restaurants. The Estacada Auditorium, beautifully built in 1936 and recently renovated, hosts professional dramatic and musical performances. Public buildings have dedicated art budgets, and everything is within walking distance. Surprisingly, this rich artistic venue takes place in the Christmas Tree Capitol of the World, surrounded by scenic natural beauty and permeated with a hundred years of history as a logging town.
