Bigfoot Bash and Bounty

Skamania County is the only designated “Sasquatch Refuge” in the United States and Bigfoot Bash and Bounty celebrates the love of this mysterious creature.  An event designed to promote all of the spectacular natural settings that Bigfoot likes to call home, it is a festival guaranteed to be fun for the entire family.  The “Bash” includes music, story telling, Bigfoot experts, food and drink, crafts for kids, a fun run/walk, crafts and much more.

The “Bounty” is a scavenger hunt pulling the seeker into surrounding areas  in search of the elusive creature.  Find him in the form of a 8-foot tall plywood cutout (there are at least a dozen to find) and be entered into a drawing for magnificent prizes.  But remember, you can only “hunt” Bigfoot with a camera in Skamania County, no harming or killing this peaceful being.  By seeking out Bigfoot during this weekend event, you will have the chance to explore and experience the beauty of Skamania County and especially the communities of Carson, Home Valley and Stabler along with the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.  Tread lightly and respectfully and maintain the natural quality of the area.  The opportunity to hear from those who truly believe in Sasquatch is possibly once in a lifetime.  And perhaps Bigfoot is listening too!
