Aufderheide Memorial Drive

The Aufderheide is truly one of Oregon’s most authentic and scenic byways. It runs from Westfir (on Highway 58) north to Rainbow (on Highway 126), following various rivers and streams up and over a mountain pass. You’ll encounter giant old-growth trees, awesome mountaintop vistas, hiking and biking trails, and world-renowned salmon and trout fishing in an natural and pristine environment. Wildlife abounds, from rabbits and raccoons, to elk, deer, bears, cougars, bobcats, etc., and the fishing is unsurpassed.
